I'm here to help and want to give you the best boudoir experience imaginable. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from clients.

What is boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography is all about empowering and loving yourself. Stripping yourself of all your insecurities, and allowing yourself to be feel beautiful.

Are you sure I can do this?

Yes. I've heard everything from "I'm not pretty enough" to "I'm too fat," and we have no doubt that you can do this. Even if you've never done anything like boudoir photography before, we are here to make you feel comfortable every step of the way.

Ladies, you are enough. I promise you that. These sessions are all about loving yourself. Let me show you how beautiful you are, how gorgeous your body is, and how amazing you truly are! Boudoir does not have a specific size or look – it is for every woman.

Do I need to know how to pose?

I will pose you from the tip of your toes to the way your hair lays. I will do all the hard work for help you from start to finish. You do not have to worry about a thing and I promise we'll make your experience stress-free and empowering.  I know exactly how to pose all types of women to look their very very best.  I will direct you every step of the way, from helping to you prepare for your boudoir shoot with wardrobe and grooming tips, to posing every inch of you, to coaching your breathing through the session. You just need to show up and TRUST ME.

Can I bring a friend?

Sure! You are more than welcome to bring a female friend if it makes you feel more comfortable.   I DO ask that the friend not interfere with the shoot (running in to “touch you up” in between every shot, directing your posing, etc) as I will handle anything along those lines that needs done.  I do not allow any more than 1 friend in the studio with you.  We do not allow men in the studio while shooting.  That’s a firm policy.

Do I need to bring my own outfits for my boudoir shoot?

Yes, I recommend that you do bring up to 3 of your own outfits to the studio. Something you feel comfortable in. Please visit our what to wear page for ideas.

Will you post my boudoir photos on your website or social media?

No. Our client’s privacy is our number one priority. The clients you see have given us exclusive permission as without your written consent we will NEVER post your boudoir photos publicly. We understand the sensitive nature of boudoir photography and have the utmost respect for your wishes to keep them entirely private and secure.

How soon will my photos be ready?

Your image proofs will be ready as soon as the following week.  Final edits take one to two weeks upon ordering and products take up to two to four weeks to arrive once the order is finalized.  Please schedule your appointment 4-6 weeks in advance keeping with these times in mind.  If you need sooner, rush fees will apply.

Will you retouch my images?

Yes. I'll retouch all of the images from your session. Every image includes our standard retouching – which is skin softening and the removal of temporary blemishes, scrapes, bruises, etc.  We will pose, light, and style you to flatter YOUR figure.  Additional editing such as tattoo removal, tan line removal, clothing fix etc. available upon request for an additional fee.  All images are retouched in house personally by Lanett Franko to insure privacy and quality.

Do you offer in studio hair/makeup/lahses prior to my session?

We offer stylist services immediately prior to your photography session.  You can choose to add on this service when scheduling your photography appt for an additional $100 paid directly to the stylist by cash, check, card or paypal.  Your appt start time will remain the same (appt length extended) and you will arrive at the studio with clean dry hair and clean face.  We do require $25 upfront to secure stylist on location.

Is it OK to tan before my shoot?

We do not recommend tanning before your shoot. Tanning always shows up VERY orange in the images, can cause tan lines, orange palms, orange heels and other odd markings on the body. It can also rub off on clothing and furniture. Fixing orange skin is not part of our standard retouching and will incur an additional fee.

Do you offer styled outdoor, water or on-location photo sessions?

We offer these sessions under our Beauty + Boudoir Experience (not valid with current promotions). Please contact us if you would like more information on our boudoir on-location, outdoor or water photo shoots.  Client will be responsible for on location fees.

Do I have to show a lot of skin?

This is completely up to you! You can go super-sexy, with lingerie, or bring in one of your partner's white shirts, or of course you can always go a little more conservative – even a sexy dress could look amazing! After all, it’s your boudoir photo shoot and we want you to be completely comfortable.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that in order to be able to reschedule your boudoir shoot without losing your deposit/voucher or incurring an additional fee, you must reschedule 7 days before your shoot.  You can reschedule within this time frame ONE time only on our online scheduling form or by contacting our studio.  We never make an exception for this policy as we have our photographer booked and ready to accommodate you in advance that would not be there otherwise.   We truly appreciate your understanding.
